Patrol serves as the backbone of the Waynesville Police Department. When a call is received, patrol is the first to respond, making the patrol officer the first contact with the Police Department the citizen has. Patrol is broken up into 4 squads each consisting of 3 officers and a Sergeant. The squads work rotating 12-hour shifts. WPD’s squads are arranged as follows: |
